Durational works use time as both subject and material. Through the creation of extended frames, slowed pacing, repetition, and temporal displacement, these projects alter the speed at which images and events are normally perceived.

By stretching the conditions of viewing, the works create space for details, meanings, and relationships that might otherwise remain unnoticed. Rather than advancing through narrative momentum, these projects ask viewers to remain with an image long enough for it to change through attention.
