Durational works use time as both subject and material. Through the creation of extended frames, altered pacing, repetition, and temporal displacement, these projects transform the conditions under which images are encountered.
By stretching the act of viewing, the works create space for details, relationships, and meanings that might otherwise remain unnoticed. Rather than advancing through narrative momentum, they ask viewers to remain with an image long enough for it to change through attention.
