Cinematic Interventions examines how films become embedded within collective memory and how particular images, scenes, figures, and actions come to organize their meaning. Using existing films as source material, these projects alter, reconstruct, or displace the elements through which a film is most commonly remembered, redirecting attention toward structures that typically remain secondary to narrative.

By modifying the organizing events and images of familiar films, the works create opportunities to encounter them in new ways. Rather than producing alternate narratives, they interrupt established ones, revealing how cinematic memory is constructed, sustained, and transformed over time.
